SPAN Smart Electrical Panel Now Available At Phoenix Exteriors!
Phoenix Exteriors is proud to announce that we now offer the SPAN Panel, a smart electrical panel designed to upgrade and modernize your current home circuit breaker system.
What is SPAN?
The Span Smart Electrical Panel is an electrical panel that brings intelligence to your home’s power generation and consumption activities. It replaces your existing circuit breaker, including any critical load panels, and pairs with a Span mobile app for convenience. With SPAN, you can control and monitor every circuit in your home from a smartphone or tablet, understand how your home is sourcing, storing, and using energy in real-time, and modernize your home with electrification upgrades like solar and battery storage. The panel comes with the typical columns of breaker switches and can still be turned on or off manually.
Once your Span panel and mobile app are installed, you will be able to see where your power is coming from (solar, battery, or grid) and where it’s going (the home, back to the battery, or back to the grid) in real-time. Your app will show analytical insights into every circuit in your home and can detail how much each circuit is consuming. But that’s not all. Span also lets you prioritize individual circuits over others, letting you categorize among three priority levels: Must-have, nice-to-have, and Not essential. This ensures that when the power goes out, your top priority circuits stay on for as long as possible, while other circuits shut down halfway or turn off immediately. You can even drag and drop these circuit groups in the app! If you’re wondering how long the battery will last in the event of an outage, the app can show you those estimates as well.
Compatible Battery Systems:
- Tesla Powerwall
- FranklinWH
- Enphase IQ Battery
- LG Chem RESU
- SolarEdge Energy Bank.
How Much Does Span Cost?
Considering that costs always vary based on installation and the obstacles surrounding it, a typical price range falls between $9,000 to $10,000. The good news is that if you install Span as part of a solar-battery upgrade, you can include it in the total cost of your installation, which is then eligible for federal tax credits.
How Do I Get Started With Span?
Start by contacting Phoenix Exteriors for a free consultation to discuss the installation process with our reps. We’ll then perform an onsite home visit where you can get your estimate. We’ll schedule a day for our install crew to show up and start installing.
How Long Does Installation Take?
A typical Span panel install runs between an estimated five to eight hours. We ask that you remain onsite during the installation process for possible queries about your home’s circuits and how to configure them. Once completed, we’ll clean up the premises and answer any remaining questions you have before we leave.
